DW 5000 Bass Pedals & Medium Duty Hardware Series

DW (Drum Workshop) is one of the top drum makers in the world and not only produces drum shells but also makes some of the most popular pedals and hardware. When DW purchased the tooling and manufacturing equipment from Camco in the 1970s, they released a rebranded version of the Camco 5000 called the DW 5000 single bass pedal.

From this point on DW continued to develop and design drum hardware into several different series. The 5000 series is the medium duty line and is one of the most purchased today.

DW 5000 Pedal Series

The DW 5000 pedal line features 3 different pedal variations along with a sidekick pedal and remote bass drum pedals.

 

AD4 Bass Drum Pedals

The AD4 model is available in single or double bass pedals versions, featuring the Accelerator (AD4) drive system or the Turbo (TD4) concentric drive system. Standard features are also aluminum hex shafts, pedal plates and linkages, 101 two-way beaters and built in spurs.

Recently added are a Tri-Pivot Toe Clamp for stronger gripping strength to the bass drum and a Dual Bearing Spring Rocker for quicker response.

 

DW 5000 ADH Heelless Pedals

The 5000ADH Heel-less is a specialty pedal designed for drummers that require a low profile. Useable for both heel-up and heel-down players, the ADH is built for speed and easy double strokes on the bass drum.

DW 5000 Pedal series standard features such as aluminum hex shafts, pedal plates and linkages, a dual side adjusting hoop clamp, 101 two-way beaters and built in spurs are included with the 5000ADH.

 

DW ADS Solid Footboard

The DW 5000ADS is exactly like the 5000 AD4 pedal except for it features a solid power footboard. It also features the Accelerator (AD3) drive system which offers eccentric motion increasing the velocity of the pedal.

The Power Footboard on the DW 5000 ADS is best used by heel-down drummers.

The DW 5000 ADS is only available in the single bass drum pedal version.

 

DW 5000s Sidekick Pedal

The DW 5000S is a sidekick pedal designed for cocktail drum type setups. It is an upward striking pedal that can also be used with a standard drum kit to offer new sound variety to floor toms.

The beater lever is supported by a rod that connects into any DW TB12 floor tom bracket. Unlike some cocktail pedals, the unique rope drive offers a natural kick pedal touch. Standard DW 5000 series features are included.

 

DW 5002 L&R Remote Bass Drum Pedals

The DW 5002 was developed for drummers that prefer offset kick pedals relative to their bass drum positioning, or for players that like an auxiliary bass drum to the side, these pedals feature a Precision Universal Joint and single chain Accelerator sprocket.

 

DW 5000 Hardware Series

The DW 5000 hardware line features standard and auxiliary hi-hat stands, straight and boom cymbal stands, snare stands, as well as round and tractor style thrones.  The DW 5000 hardware series is a medium duty line of drum hardware with thrones that are popular options for beginner to pros alike.
