High gloss lacquer was applied to the outside ply with a unique 30 step finishing process. Export series shells also feature split suspension lugs and the I.S.S. mounting system.

Additionally Pearl Export Series drumsets originally shipped with heavy duty double braced leg PowerPro hardware which included a snare stand along with a straight and boom cymbal stands. Also included with Export kits was the P120P single chain, round cam chain drive bass drum pedal.
Pearl Export Series Review
Priced at roughly $1,000 the Pearl Export series is a very reasonably priced drum set. Many drummers argue over the quality and sound of poplar shells; however the difference in sound quality is hard to distinguish for the untrained ear. The Export Series is made of durable hardware and can stand the test of time, including rigorous playing as well as gigging and transport. For the price, the Pearl Export Series is a quality purchase.

do you have any for sale?
I have a used set I bought, but the nomenclature is confusing. I have an Export Series. It has a glossy black wrap and the gold label. It does not have any sub-name that other sets have, such as EX, ELX, etc. It has black lugs and hoops with chrome rods.
I’ve been told these are from the late 90s, and others have said 2002-2003. I’ve also seen the same gold label shells with all chrome hardware.
Any help? I want to expand the set without a mish-mash of different stuff.
