TAMA Superstar Hyperdrive Review
Superstar Hyper-Drive drums are TAMA’s high end series of semi-professional drum sets. Superstar drums are made of 100% birch shells and feature hyper drive (shorter) toms, ultra deep bass drums, power craft drum-heads, black nickel shell hardware, the star-cast mounting system, die cast hoops, sound bridge high tension lugs, claw hooks on the bass drum and quick-set cymbal tilters.

TAMA Superstar Custom
The Superstar drum kit features tom toms mounted from cymbal stands as opposed to directly on the bass drum. Some drummers argue that this results in more resonance and deeper sound.
Superstar bass drums are deeper than other kits, at 18 and 20 inches. There are 5 tom variations, as well as 3 snare drums and floor tom options.
Superstar Hyperdrive Drums
TAMA Superstar drum sets are sold with a matching hardware kit which includes a snare stand, straight cymbal stand, boom cymbal stand, hi-hat stand and single kick pedal.
Priced between $1,000 and $1,500 brand new, the Superstar Hyperdrive drum set is one of the most complete and best priced drum kits for the quality. All that is needed to begin drumming are cymbals, a throne and sticks.
