The Pearl Rhythm Traveler is a concept drum set that is designed to be an all-around kit with easy trans-portability from practice to gigs. The compact design and mounting configuration of the five (5) piece Rhythm Traveler allows it to be carried in virtually one trip.<\/p>\n

Part of what allows for this compressed setup is a 5 inch snare and tom drums, as well as an 8 inch deep bass drum. The shells themselves are made of 9ply (7mm) Mahogany. The drum shells come with plastic heads as well as mesh muffle heads for practice.<\/p>\n

\"\"Despite the compact size of the set, the drum diameters are standard, with the snare at 13 inches, 10, 12 and 14 in toms as well as a 20 inch bass drum. The Rhythm Traveler also comes equipped with a hi-hat, snare and straight cymbal stand along with a P-62 kick pedal. Two tom holders allow mounting toms to the bass drum while a separate short tom holder provides for mounting a \u201cfloor tom\u201d to the straight cymbal stand. In Europe a Gig model is available where all toms mount from the bass drum.<\/p>\n

    Priced at under $500 brand new<\/strong>, the Pearl Rhythm Traveler is a very affordable option as either a beginner set or secondary practice kit. The drums are built with enough quality to put up with transport and durable enough to take heavy practice. While the sound quality leaves something left to be desired, there is no doubt that the Rhythm Traveler delivers on its promise.  Easy to transport and easy to practice.<\/em><\/p>\n

    Pearl Rhythm Traveller Spelling<\/h3>\n

    Rhythm Traveler is commonly spelled with two L\u2019s online but there is no difference between the kits and is spelled on Pearl\u2019s website with one L. There is however a difference with the Pearl Rhythm Traveler Gig which features smaller diameter drums that all mount directly to a 16\u2033x14\u2033 bass drum.<\/p>\n

    The Gig kit includes an 8\u2033x3.5\u2033 Tom, 10\u2033x4\u2033 Tom, 12\u2033x5\u2033 Tom and a 10\u2033x5\u2033 Wood Snare. This kit is also available in four (4) different finishes unlike the normal Rhythm Traveler which is only available in white. The four finishes include, Jet Black, Pure White, Steel Blue and Red Wine.<\/p>\n
