Vic Firth Keyboard, Timpani, Groove & Concert Mallets

Vic Firth makes mallets for keyboard, timpani and concert percussion. This includes sticks for instruments such as marimba, vibraphone, xylophone, bells, vibes, bass drum, gongs, cymbals and snares.

 

Vic Firth Keyboard Mallets

Vic Firth Keyboard mallets include multi-application mallets which are designed to be used across drum corps, marching band, indoor, concert and solo playing.  These mallets are made from various types of 100% synthetic yarn and cord for optimum tonality and resonance.

The Virtuoso Series is designed for solo marimba players with a rubber core wrapped with a wool blend yarn for warm tones.

Pesante Keyboard mallets are made for weight and emphasis and thick attack.

Ney Rosauro mallets are custom made for both marimba and vibraphone playing and feature soft, medium and hard sounds.

Robert van Sice is an international soloist and teacher who designed mallets with rubber core for mono-tonal sound and synthetic cores for multi-tonal resonance.

Gifford Howarth mallets are designed for the highest quality of sound for the recital hall or within an ensemble.

Timpani Mallets and Concert Implements

Vic Firth American Custom Timpani mallets include six models made from maple which eliminate rattle and produce bigger and brighter sounds.

The Tim Genis Signature mallets feature a variety of heads including the roller, Beethoven soft and hard, Dolce Articulate and Hard Tonal.

Tom Gauger Bass Drum Mallets feature various designs including the TG01 for general all-purpose playing, Legato for subtle dark sounds, Molto for fullness, Rollers for weight, Fortissimo for max volume, Ultra Staccato for clarity, Staccato with a medium head and double head mallets.

Soundpower Concert Mallets are designed with round felt heads and tapered maple headers for deep dark bass drum sounds. Soundpower also makes mallets for Chimes, Gongs and Cymbals.

 

Vic Firth Groove Series

The Groove Series is a new line of sticks and mallets designed specifically for the musical style mirrored by the Historically Black Colleges marching band activity. Including the Johnny Lee Lane sticks, Tenor Groove, Scotch Groove and Thunder Groove, this series features sticks and mallets for marching snare, single tenor, Scotch bass and large tonal bass.
